The COVID-19 crisis, and the accompanying advice to work from home as much as possible, pushed the whole mobility discussion into a higher gear. As company cars are a central topic, leasing company Arval organised an online debate at the occasion of the ‘European Mobility Week 2020’. Our Fleet Manager Tine Vangrunderbeek participated in the panel discussion.
Joined Tine at the table:
Green mobility
In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, individual means of transportation represent a lower risk of contagion compared to public transport. Yet, at the same time, the need for environmental-friendly alternatives becomes urgent, and governmental decisions tend to rush companies towards a ‘green’ mobility approach. It’s clearly not an option to remain entirely dependent on fossil fuels, yet a complete switch to electric cars by 2026 doesn’t seem to be a realistic ambition either.
Broad choice
Tine, who manages our fleet of about 300 cars, testifies how Business & Decision tackles the current issues. As yet, totally circumnavigating ‘king car’ is simply not an option, if you ask her. Nevertheless, aiming to be a reference in our sector, we are one of the 69% of companies which are already working on alternative mobility, offering our consultants an ever-broader choice when it comes to ‘getting around’:
Employee-centric approach
Bottom line? Putting our CSR ambitions at the forefront at all times, at Business & Decision you’ll find us first in line when it comes to durable innovation and progress. Which is exactly why we prefer to play the prudence card when it comes to taking decisions which will significantly influence our fleet policy, and are strongly in favour of an employee-centric approach when it comes to mobility!
